Santa Bruce's Summer
Summer may be over but things are heating up at the North Pole. The elves are working hard in the toy shop making surprises for all the children on the Nice List.
Top of Germany
In June Santa Bruce spent two weeks Bavaria most of it in Munich, Germany. I was at a technical conference and exposition; there were wonderful toymakers from all over Europe there. in One week working then Mrs. Clause joined me for a week of vacation.
Highest Point in Germany
Rudolf and the rest of the reindeer were impressed to see that Santa Bruce made it to the top of the Zugspitze without them. After I told them a cable car took me most of the way up they were not quite as impressed.
While on top of the mountain a lovely little girl recognized me. She was 4 years old and from Luxembourg. Being from Luxembourg she already spoke several languages which was a good thing as Mrs. Clause and I did not bring any of our translator elves with us. She is definitely on the Nice List; we noted down what she wanted for Christmas.
The Glockenspiel clockwork is particularly impressive. Some of the elves in the North Pole worked on it before they joined us up north. And no trip to Bavaria is complete without a trip to Sleeping Beauty's Castel.
Daytona Santa goes to Summer Camp!
Every summer I have the great pleasure of spending a couple of weeks at Florida Diabetes Camp. This wonderful organization holds several sleepover camps at different location throughout Florida for different age groups. All of the campers and many of the staff have Type 1 Diabetes. Mrs. Clause was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 3 years old. She started going to camp when she was 5 and she still goes every summer. Now she is one of the people in charge; just like at the North Pole.
Santa Bruce is a volunteer lifeguard by day, helps out in the dining hall and with evening activities. They even let Santa Bruce DJ sometimes. Don't worry I play more than just Christmas carols. The campers keep me up to date on all the new music, dances and of course the latest toys. I have alerted the elves to be ready for an influx of HUNTR/X and Saja Boys merch on wish lists this year.
Smore’s around the Campfire!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are having a great start to the school year.
